Gracious living with meticulous care

A luxurious Home from Home, Broadacres combines gracious living with meticulous 24 hour care.  Our country house is set in beautiful grounds with views of the Broads National Park at Barton Turf near Norwich.

Life at Broadacres is engaging and involving, with participation from family and friends welcomed (please see Covid-19 policy).  Many Residents have made their home here, but we also provide convalescence and respite care.

We ensure dining is a pleasurable experience with varied and interesting menus designed by our head chef and Residents using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

No effort is spared in enhancing our Residents’ comfort, safety and enjoyment of life. Their contentment, wellbeing, and peace of mind are our measures of success.

Broadacres Bedroom

Residential features

All 25 suites at Broadacres are extremely spacious, averaging 25 square meters in area. Each room has an ensuite bathroom or wetroom and an electric profiling bed. Some are large enough to cater for a couple in comfort, and 18 out of the 25 have their own private patio into the garden. A hairdresser, physiotherapist and chiropodist are on hand, an aromatherapist by arrangement, and the whirlpool spa bath is a popular attraction.

Keeping active

Life at Broadacres is never dull.  Residents are able to enjoy, if they wish, a full social life with a personalised programme of activities and entertainments with frequent outings to places of interest.  Guests are welcome to join these events as regular contact with their loved ones adds greatly to Residents’ enjoyment of life at Broadacres.

Space to explore

Our delightful and extensive grounds feature a new summerhouse overlooking the lake and ornamental bridge.  The abundant wildlife and constantly changing views provide enjoyment throughout the year. Winding wheelchair-friendly paths give Residents freedom to enjoy the outdoor space.

Covid-19: Allowing visits with safety

When government guidelines allow, we have a Covid-safe visitor ‘pod’ for families and friends to meet their loved ones.

This has been a welcome addition to our facilities and has ensured that our Residents can maintain contact with friends and relatives knowing they can do so safely.

For more information on how we are keeping our staff, Residents and visitors safe please see our Covid Information Page.

From our Residents, Friends and and Families

This is an excellent home. The staff are kind, caring and very responsive to the resident’s needs. Enjoyed a superb Sunday lunch with two of the Residents, plus another friend who also enjoyed the hospitality. I have and will recommend this place every time. A beautiful location.

Benita B, Friend of Resident

Broadacres is by far the nicest care home that I have had anything to do with. Lovely house staff, always caring and polite. Food is excellent and visitors are treated with respect and are made to feel welcome. Not too big. The size is a great attraction, I hope it doesn’t get any larger.

Margaret C, Respite Resident

My mother is being very well cared for at Broadacres by friendly attentive staff. During a recent bout of poor health, mum couldn’t have had more attention. Now they are encouraging her to become more independent again. Having had several years of constant concern over her being alone my sister and I now have peace of mind.
